Thorndale in a Snap is an eight week photography program for local youth, sponsored by Edgewater Artist's in Motion and the office of Illinois State Representative Harry Osterman.The purpose o this program is to showcase the talents of Edgewater's young people and engage them in a continuous dialogue about youth, art, culture and the community.
There will be two groups. The first group will be comprised of novice camera users, ages 6 through 12, who will work under the supervision of Abigail Rudner.The second group will cater to users ages 13 through 20, and will be supervised by an alternating roster of local photography industry professionals including Michael Canavan, Dorothy Mason, and Tracy Poyser.
Both of the free, eight-week courses will take place at 1130 Thorndale Avenue from Thursday, June 17th through Thursday, July 29th:
Course 1: Ages 6-12, 5:30pm to 7:00pm
Course 2: Ages 13-20, 6:00pm to 8:00pm
